Celebrating Mexico’s 208th Independence Day with La Costeña
In partnership with La Costeña and the Embassy of Mexico in Singapore, we proudly celebrated Mexico’s 208th Independence Day, showcasing the vibrant culture and cuisine of this incredible country. One of the evening’s highlights was undoubtedly the delicious, authentic Mexican food prepared with care by the Embassy.
As the custodian of the La Costeña brand in Singapore and Malaysia, we were honored to support this annual festival by providing high-quality ingredients, including sliced jalapeños, Mexican salsa, refried black beans, chipotle in adobo sauce, and green tomatillos. These essential ingredients brought the flavors of Mexico to life, making the celebration truly unforgettable.
A Celebration of Mexican Cuisine and Culture at Sentosa Island
Guests, business partners, and government officials gathered for a spectacular celebration of Mexican Independence Day at Sentosa Island Resort. The evening featured a feast of authentic Mexican dishes, including the iconic chicken mole Poblano—a rich, dark sauce made with over 20 ingredients, such as chili peppers, spices, and chocolate, creating a perfect balance of bold flavors. Truly, it was a culinary delight that brought a “party in the mouth” for all attendees!
The event’s highlight was a traditional ceremony led by Ambassador Nathan Wolf, whose rousing speech and patriotic cheer ignited the spirit of Mexico among the 300 distinguished guests. It was an unforgettable evening celebrating Mexican culture, heritage, and gastronomy.
We continue to welcome the Mexican community in Singapore with opened arms and look forward to fruitful ties with the nation who brought tacos, nachos, guacamole, burrito, enchiladas, quesadillas to our table, “Å“Viva Mexico, Viva La Independencia!”
